Please be informed that the Logistics Division of the has made necessary arrangements to continue day to day operations to support the Import & MCC/TS industry during the prevailing situation. Our staff has been continued their duty for essential services since 13th of March without interruption to the importation of essential goods.

We have taken the following steps to continue the operations in our division with many health precaution measures.

1. Split all the employees in our division into two groups (A & B) and ensured that there will be no physical contacts between the two groups.
2. One group will continue their duty for 02 days (48 hours) and the other group will report the next two days roster basis. (Working period could be adjusted based on the instructions of the management)
3. Logistics Division is facilitating the deliveries of all the FCL & LCL cargo which are approved by Sri Lanka Customs.
4. Facilitating the MCC Operations which are requested by the Operators and approved by Sri Lanka Customs.
5. Closely following up on-time deliveries of Perishable Cargo and Reefer Cargo (Big Onion, Potato Etc). Actions will be taken to inform the management with regard to the abandoned perishable cargo if any.
6. Following health precautions measures have been taken to protection of employees of the division as per the advice given by the management.

* Providing Face Masks for all the employees at work
* Providing hand sanitizers for all the units
* Making arrangements to spray sanitizing liquids in all the units regularly.

Therefore, please be kind enough to advise on the following.

1. Extension of rent waiver for import cargo after 27th March 2020
2. Inform the relevant Associations that SLPA is facilitating all the cargo deliveries and MCC operations approved by the Sri Lanka Customs.
3. You may issue a Press Release on the above delivery arrangements and MCC Operations to increase the deliveries and MCC Operations during the Curfew period since the warehouses have already been reached their maximum utilization.
