The Trans-Pacific Partnership, the largest regional trade accord in history, is expected to come in to effect shortly. The TPP would set new terms for trade and business investment among 11 Pacific Rim nations with an annual GDP of nearly $28 trillion that represents roughly 40 percent of global G.D.P. and one-third of world trade. The countries of the TPP are, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has organized a discussion on “Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP): Impact on Sri Lanka and its Trade in the Future” in order to make the business community aware of the impacts on Sri Lanka’s trade with these countries in the advert of TPP. We urge members participate and increase your awareness on the impact of the TPP.
