The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka is organizing a seminar to discuss the current electricity crisis in Sri Lanka.
The discussion will cover the current electricity crisis in Sri Lanka, the historical perspectives, lessons learnt and the possible way forward for establishing a stable electricity supply system in Sri Lanka.
Topics such as, ‘Sri Lanka’s Power Generation – Past, present and future,’ ‘How the stakeholders should work together to ensure crisis free electricity supply in Sri Lanka,’ and ‘Renewable Energy, a solution? Lessor knows issues,’ will also come under discussion.
Mrs. Dhara Wijayatilake, CEO of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Damitha Kumarasinghe, CEO, PUCSL , Engineer. Dr. Jayantha Ranatunga, Chairman, PUCSL Consultative Committee, Mr. Anura Wijayapala, Chairman, CEB, and Dr. Thilak Siyambalapitiya, Energy Consultant will take part as the resource persons of the seminar.
