Powerloom Development & Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL), set up by the Ministry of Textile of the Government of India, will organize the Global India Textile Show (GITS ) 2010 in Coimbatore from March 26 – 27, 2010. Indian textiles being known for the superior finish and texture, this is a “made for each other” occasion for buyers and manufacturers to meet directly and make business contacts. 
The event will include fashion show on the first day and one-to-one meetings on the second day. The uniqueness of the event will include:

Þ The Participation of prominent manufacturers of textiles

Þ A good platform to source a wide range of designs and varieties

Þ Direct interaction with the manufacturer-exporter

Þ Exhibition of best home textiles and woven fabrics 
PDEXCIL has offered to fully sponsor five selected buyers from Sri Lanka, to GITS 2010. Selection will be based on a first come first served basis and will be at the sole discretion of the Organisers.
