| The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce initiated, �Forum for Public-Private Sector Dialogue� has thus far facilitated members to clarify their issues with the Public sector officials/authorities. The Forum has also given an opportunity to the Public sector officials to be informed of the constraints faced by private sector entities and to provide solutions where possible or explain to the Private sector why the issues cannot be resolved immediately. Thus the Forum facilitates to strengthen the relations between the Public and Private sectors.
Continuing this series of Private Public sector dialogue initiated by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, the next Forum will be held on Friday April 3, 2009 from 09.30 AM to 1.00 PM in the Ground Floor Auditorium of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. The discussion at this Forum will focus on the widely queried implementation of the stimulus package made public by the Government in late December 2008. The following Orgaisations have been invited to the discussion panel:

Central Bank of Sri Lanka
Export Development Board
Sri Lanka Tea Board
Ministry of Plantation Industries
Department of Inland Revenue of Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka Bankers Association We trust that this forum would be an avenue to mitigate, at least to some extent, the adverse effects caused by this current economic crisis.
